We Know Training is looking for a full-time Content Writer to join our Marketing team. We are a young company with a strong foothold in the online training industry, poised to grow exponentially in the next 5 years. Our Marketing team is an important piece of our growth plans, combining expertise in design, UI/UX, communications, copy writing, and paid digital advertising.

 

This role will report directly to the VP, Marketing, and will be responsible for creating content for our flagship We Know Training brand and also our distinct eCommerce storefront brands (e.g., danatec.com, guardtraining.ca, protraining.com, etc).

 

The Job

 

  • Research, write, and edit 10+ blog articles per month
  • Develop engaging and impactful social media copy for multiple brands and channels (LinkedIn, Twitter, and Facebook)
  • Interview internal and external stakeholders to gather information for articles and other communications pieces
  • Develop promotional email content to communicate sales, events, and new product offerings to our customer lists
  • Collaborate with team members, accepting feedback and contributing to campaign brainstorming, planning, and implementation
  • Copy edit a wide range of written materials, including client communications, printed collateral, digital ads, and more
  • Review current and future web copy for SEO optimization, as needed
  • Adhere to brand guidelines and maintain a consistent tone across each distinct brand
  • Assist in any other relevant writing and editing tasks as needed

 

Your Qualifications

 

  • You have 2-4 years’ experience working in marketing, communications, or business development writing
  • You have excellent writing, editing, proofreading, and research skills
  • You have professional experience working with social networks and platforms, including Twitter, LinkedIn, and Facebook
  • Your portfolio demonstrates breadth of experience in terms of writing tone and subject matter
  • You have knowledge of digital marketing, including SEO and email marketing
  • You have excellent organizational and time management skills, able to dive into a task with minimal direction
  • You can wear multiple hats, juggle priorities, and still maintain sharp attention to detail
  • You’ve worked with WordPress before and designing an article for publishing isn’t a daunting task for you
